The Delta State University Teaching Hospital Oghara hereby invites application from suitably qualified candidates to fill various positions in the hospital as stated below:
(A) CONSULTANTS:
Consultant Neuro- Surgeons
Cardiothoracic Surgeons
QUALIFICATIONS/ELIGIBILITY
Candidates applying for the above positions must possess the following:
Evidence of full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria and current practicing license.
ii. Must have fellowship of either the National Postgraduate Medical College of
Nigeria or West Africa postgraduate Medical College or their equivalents
with at least five (5) years working experience.
(B) RESIDENT DOCTORS
Doctors are needed in the following accredited Departments for Residency training: Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Orthopedics & Trauma, Family Medicine, Community Medicine, Internal Medicine (cardiology, nephrology and neurology), General Surgery, Anaethesia & ICU, Paediatrics, Radiology & Urology.
QUALIFICATIONS/ELIGIBILITY
All applicants into the Residency positions must possess the following:
Evidence of full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria and current practicing license.
Must have passed in the primary fellowship examination of either the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or West Africa postgraduate Medical College in their chosen specialty.
(C) PHARMACISTS
QUALIFICATIONS/ ELIGIBILITY
Candidates applying for the Pharmacist position must possess the following:
i. B.Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy) degree or its equivalent from a recognized
University, which is registrable with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN).
ii. Current license with the pharmacy Council of Nigeria.
iii. National Youths Service Corp (NYSC) discharged certificate or an exemption
letter with at least two (2) years post qualification experience.
(D) PHARMACY INTERNS
QUALIFICATIONS/ELIGIBILITY
Candidates applying for the Pharmacy Interns position must possess the following:
B.Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy) degree or its equivalent from a recognized university, which is registrable with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN)
The provisional license of Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN).
(E) NURSE
i. Nursing Officer II
QUALIFICATIONS/ ELIGIBILITY
Candidates applying for the position of Nursng Officer II must be qualified Nurses who specialize in either of the following: (i) Peri-operative (ii) Cardiothoracic (iii) ICU (iv) Orthopaedics & Trauma (v) Paediatrics (vi) Oncology (vii) E.N.T (viii) Burns/Plastics (ix) Accident & Emergency (x) Family Medicine (xi) Community Medicine (xii) Internal Medicine (cardiology, nephrology and neurology) (xiii) General Surgery (xiv) Urology (xv) Radiology (xvi) Anaesthesia (xvii) Otorhinolaryngology (xviii) Psychiatry & (xviii) Paediatrics and should possess the following:
i. RN/RM, BNSc (Bachelor of Science in Nursing Science) registrable with
Nursing Council of Nigeria with NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
ii. Current registration and practicing license with the Nursing Council of
Nigeria.
iii. Certificate of post basic training on certain specialty with at least two (2) years post qualification experience.

(F) ANAESTHETIC TECHNICIANS
QUALIFICATIONS/ELIGIBILITY
Candidates applying for the Anaesthetic Tech. positions must possess the following:
West African School Certificate or its equivalent plus successful completion of a three (3) years training programme in a recognized institution registrable with the Institute of Anaesthetic Technology for Technician cadre.
ii. Relevant working experience will be an added advantage.
